Brian McDougall
Brian McDougall is a seasoned HR professional with over three decades of front-line experience. He retired in 2021 as Mazda Canada’s Senior Director of People and Culture and went on to found Kindred People. Brian's career is marked by his practical approach to HR, always considering what is realistic to implement in the workplace.
He holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). During his tenure at Mazda Canada, he led the company to be named a GTA Top Employer for seven consecutive years. One of his notable achievements includes redesigning the HR system to elevate employee motivation, demonstrating his commitment to creating a positive and productive workplace culture.
His mission is to help people become the best versions of themselves by removing obstacles and providing practical, real-world solutions to workplace challenges. Outside of his professional life, he is passionate mountain biker and gravel rider, and he enjoys organizing cycle adventure tours locally and overseas.
